Pack Toiletries and Cosmetics Together

Also, be sure to keep heavier items, like shampoos or mouthwashes, near the bottom of your box. This way you can stack lighter items like toothbrushes, cotton balls, and feminine products near the top, which will reduce the chance of your products exploding.

Cover your Liquid Bottles

One of the biggest concerns when packing your toiletries is your liquid products spilling and making a mess. Many makeup and body care products can be expensive, so you do not want to run the risk of them breaking. Before packing your products remove the tops, putting either a zip lock bag or piece of saran wrap securely over the opening, and then screw back on the top.

Another way to secure your bottles is tapping the top of your bottles. Both methods eliminate the chance of your bottles top popping off.

Put a Cotton Ball in your Cosmetic Containers

Anyone who is familiar with eyeshadow or foundation powders understands how easily these products can break apart. A great way to prevent your favorite foundation or eyeshadow from breaking is sticking a cotton ball or pad over the powder. Though this may not always keep your powders from breaking, it is more likely for your powder to stay in the container, so you will still be able to use it.

Keep your Favorite Makeup Items with You

If you love a certain product pack a smaller bag that you can carry with you. If you have a favorite lipstick or cream that you’re afraid of melting in the hot Tucson heat, make sure to store it in your purse and keep it with you indoors.
