Moving to AZ? Here are 4 Parks to Explore
When you’re moving with your family, you’ll want to make sure you have activities planned to get the kids excited and to give you something to look forward to in your new city. Moving can be a big hassle, but with My Tucson Movers you’ll only have to worry about making plans to explore and enjoy your new home. Good thing for you, we have a whole list of parks for you to discover.
Petrified Forest National Park
Petrified Forest National Park is first on our list of spectacular sights to see in Arizona. The park is located in the Apache and Navajo counties of northeast Arizona and is home to expansive grasslands and vibrant badlands which color the landscape. The park is brimming with history and archeological discoveries, with the earliest inhabitants moving into the area roughly 8000 years ago.
Vermilion Cliffs National Monument
The Vermilion Cliffs National Monument boasts some of the most stunning rock formations in America, let alone Arizona. Famous for The Wave, White Pockets and a whole host of geological marvels, Vermilion Cliffs is a place where solid rock seems to be moving right before your very eyes.
Meteor Crater National Monument
A few minutes drive from Route 66 in Northern Arizona you will find what is considered to be the most well-preserved meteorite impact crater on the planet. The site is over 550 feet deep and is almost a mile wide. Visit the site’s museum to move through twenty-four different exhibits.
Sabina Canyon
Our final stop on our whirlwind tour of Arizona’s natural wonders is Sabina Canyon. Located right here in Tucson, Arizona, Sabina Canyon is a natural desert oasis. Because it is so close to your new home, it’s the perfect spot to get your family out and moving on the weekend!
