What to Do with Leftover Moving Boxes
Packing and unpacking can be a hassle but what do you do with all the leftover moving boxes? The possibilities are endless and can be useful for everyday activities! Read on for some fun crafts, handy DIYs, and even some helpful tips for pet owners!
For the Kids
Creating something for the kids can be fun and a great way to spend time together. So get your markers and scissors ready and create memories! If you have smaller children, leftover moving boxes are great for making forts or cars for your kids to play with while you finish unpacking. If you want to save them for later, cardboard boxes are also great for making Halloween costumes.
For the adults
If you’re looking for project boxes can be utilized for many household items. Since you’re moving maybe some things need to be spray painted? Turn the everyday box into a spray paint booth so you avoid getting paint in your new home. If you have smaller boxes they can be used for storage. It doesn’t have to be boring either go to your local craft store and get some fabrics to cover the boxes and make them pretty.
For the Pets
Get creative with the moving boxes and make your cat a new cozy home in their new home. You don’t have to spend a ton of money on a cat bed when you can easily make one. Set the box in the middle of the floor and find your cat later curled up in it. If you want a more permanent home, cut the flaps off and put some blankets in it. With the chaos of the move, it will make them want to stay out of the way in a quiet spot.
Reuse and Recycle
Last but not least, recycle the boxes. If there is no use for them in your new home that’s okay. Recycling them is still a great idea or giving them to other family members who might be planning to move soon.
